This is my go-to frosting when I don’t feel like whipping egg whites all day.
Cream Cheese Frosting:
1 (8-ounce) package cream cheese, room temperature
1/4 cup unsalted butter, room temperature
1 tablespoon vanilla/flavour of your choosing
4 cups confectioner’s sugar
- In a large bowl, blend cream cheese, butter, and vanilla together with mixer/beaters for 3 minutes until smooth and creamy.
- Add confectioner’s sugar in 1/2 cup increments, ensuring each addition is thoroughly blended before proceeding.
Notes: You don’t have to add butter to this recipe, but I find it makes the frosting fluffier and easier to pipe.
